【圣路易时报讯】2024年8月17日，Signature基金会将于Creve Coeur湖举办一年一度的门户龙舟节。这项赛事集健康、文化和社区参与于一体，吸引了众多企业和社区团队参与。他们将驾驶装饰华丽的龙舟，在湖面上展开激烈竞速。活动不仅鼓励健康的生活方式和团队合作精神，还为基金会的“家庭帮助行动”筹集资金，以支持医疗保险不覆盖的患者及其家庭。
龙舟赛起源于中国，有着两千多年的悠久历史。最早的龙舟赛可以追溯到战国时期，为纪念爱国诗人屈原，人们在端午节划龙舟以驱散江河中的恶灵，并投放粽子以祭奠屈原。如今，龙舟赛已成为全球范围内的文化盛事，并在圣路易的社区活动中占据重要位置。
为突出这一传统，活动现场还将安排多场精彩的中华文化表演，包括象征吉祥的舞龙、激动人心的太鼓表演等。赛事奖项种类丰富，除了各组别的冠军外，还将评选出最佳装扮鼓手、健康冠军、公司健康贡献奖以及团队精神奖等。
除了观赛，游客还可以享受丰富多彩的文化表演、美食车以及儿童娱乐活动，如小动物园等。此次活动将成为圣路易居民和游客共度周末的理想去处。

Where: Creve Coeur Lake Park, Sailboat Cove
On August 17, 2024 Signature Foundation presents the Gateway Dragon Boat Festival! The Dragon Boat Festival is a family-friendly event where community and corporate teams paddle and race dragon boats on Creve Coeur Lake. This Festival is a wellness event that promotes a active and healthy lifestyle, teamwork, and raises money for Signature Foundation’s Operation Family Help. Operation Family Help provides financial assistance to patients and their families with medical needs not covered by health insurance.
Dragon Boat racing has its roots in ancient China and the Festival has several performances in recognition of this history, including a Dragon Dance and Taiko Drums.
Awards are given out for first places in each division, best dressed drummer, emperor or empress of wellness, wellness champion, presented for a company in honor of their wellness efforts for employees, team spirit, and more! When people aren’t watching the teams paddle boats, they enjoy cultural performances, food trucks, and kid friendly activities like the petting zoo.
